This Pop is of the mascot from University of Alabama, the Crimson Tide! It is Big Al! In the 1930’s fans referred to Alabama as the elephants. A sportswriter, Everette Strupper, then referred to them as the Red Elephants. It took a several decades for the team to take on the mascot of the Elephants. It wasn’t until 1979, when a student came up with what we now know at the mascot Big Al! This will make a great hit for the student going to or currently attending U of A!
